Epworth would like to say Thank You to the Alumni Association for the success of the Cook-Out for Kids BBQ held on April 17th. The alumni raised $10,500 for Epworth! We were blessed with a beautiful day to enjoy BBQ, delicious desserts and live music. Thank you for making this event a huge success!

On Thursday, May 6th, Epworth celebrated the College of Social Work Mater's Degree Hooding for Tameka Massey, one of our Higher Education Program participants. Tameka has been involved in the Higher Education Program for the past five years and will receive her Master's degree from the University of South Carolina on Saturday, May 8th. Congratulations Tameka!
The celebration continues as two of Epworth's high school seniors have just been awarded full scholarships to attend college this fall. We are proud of all of you!

Twelve of our female residents, ages seven to 12, participated in the Girls on the Run program this year. This program, which teaches young girls about responsibility, healthy choices and encouragement, culminated May 1st with the girls taking part in Providence Hospital's Heart & Sole 5K race. We are excited to say that each young girl finished the race and they are looking forward to participating again next year.
