Commonly Asked Questions
How do I get my child
placed at Epworth Children’s Home?
Call Epworth at (803) 256-7394 and
ask to speak with the Intake Coordinator. Basic referral questions
will be asked and answered at this time and an initial screening
will take place. The family or legal guardian will then need to
complete an application and return it to the Intake Department at
Epworth Children’s Home for evaluation by the Admissions Review
Committee.
How
long will it take to get my child placed?
If the Admissions Review Committee
decides that a child may be suitable for placement at Epworth the
time frame depends on:
-
How long it takes to receive the
completed application packet
-
When an interview can be scheduled
with the Admissions Review Committee
-
Availability of bed space
How
much does Epworth cost?
Private placement board payments
are the same as state or public placement board payments. Because
state board rates change from time to time we suggest you discuss
the cost with the Intake Coordinator. For private placement
families unable to pay the board rate, scholarships are usually
available to help defray the cost. Again, we suggest you speak
directly with the Intake Coordinator.

Epworth serve?

referrals directly from families, schools, therapists, churches, and
etc.
