Public Accountability
Epworth’s Public Relations/Fund Raising/Marketing shall be conducted with respect for donors. The mission, values, and vision of ministry for children at Epworth shall be shared. Donors shall be assured their gifts are directed to the purposes intended and, if the donor desires, may include a permanency clause to permit the Board to assign different, alternative, modified but related use of such funds as conditions dictate in some distant future. Their donations shall be handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent provided by the law. Appropriate, timely acknowledgement and recognition shall be given the donor. Information available to donors shall include a list of the Board of Trustees and the most recent financial audit report. Contact with the donor shall be professional and respectful by the Epworth staff. Donors have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists Epworth. Donors are free to ask questions about Epworth and receive prompt and forthright answers.
