Family Engagement Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY: The Family Engagement Coordinator will serve as the primary facilitator for mutual self-help groups, run and facilitate parenting classes, as well as provide wraparound services for the Institute of Child and Family Wellbeing. He/She will serve as the facilitator for a nationally recognized self-help group, which includes marketing the group, parent recruitment, site management, leading the group and developing a peer leader from the group. The Coordinator will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing the data from the self-help groups. He/She will develop and implement a children’s program for children to attend during the groups.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree in human services required. Experience with children, adolescent and family treatment as well as experience delivering evidence based practices with fidelity preferred. REQUIRED

SKILLS: Good written and oral communication skills required, including public speaking. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals and to effectively present information all groups of people. Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, FBI and Sex Offenders Registry. Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
