A Kinship Family Advocate will listen to your situation, answer your questions, and help determine next steps.

Step 2: Visit An Epworth Kinship Resource Center
Meet with a Family Advocate at an Epworth Kinship Resource Center. We’ll help you:
- Apply for financial assistance (e.g., TANF)
- Navigate legal guardianship processes
- Access items from our no-cost resource closet
- Notarize, copy, or scan documents
- Create a plan tailored to your family’s needs

Epworth uses the evidenced-based Foster Kinship Navigator Model designed to help all kinship families — whether formal, informal, transitioning, or adoptive.
The program focuses on:
- Legal stability
- Financial resources
- Parenting support and education
- Emotional well-being for caregivers
All services are free and available to caregivers in the Midlands and Pee Dee regions.
