Support for the children who call Epworth home comes in all shapes and sizes. It includes financial and gift-in-kind donations, volunteering, sharing the Epworth story, advocating for Epworth and the children we serve, and remembering Epworth’s children in your will or estate planning. Thank you for your generosity and partnership.

- Christmas with Epworth: Each year, community members help us give our young residents and foster children a memorable Christmas by donating gift items requested by the children.
Volunteer
Volunteers have a very special place at Epworth. Our range of volunteer opportunities are designed to:
- Build healthy relationships between our children and teens and members of the community
- Reinforce and further Epworth’s program goals
- Help maintain our nearly 50 acres of land and our cottages as safe, comfortable havens for residents and visitors.
We welcome individuals, families, churches, businesses, and community groups as volunteers.

Information for Churches
The United Methodist Church founded Epworth in 1896 and continues to support Epworth very generously with gifts and offerings and by volunteering year-round.
Other Methodist churches also support Epworth generously, as do many non-Methodist denominations and faiths. Many churches set aside two Sundays a year to participate in our Mother’s Day and Work Day offerings. The donations, gathered on designated Sundays, enable Epworth to provide quality comprehensive care for our children.
The difference made by South Carolina churches is profound, and we give thanks for it daily. We welcome support from all churches.
