Alumni Association Meetings
The group composing this organization shall find fellowship and expression through a homecoming and an annual meeting of the Association, held each year in June on the campus of Epworth Children’s Home or as otherwise designated by its membership.
2019 Homecoming Weekend will be June 8-9, 2019. Join us for fellowship on Saturday, followed by lunch at the Epworth dining hall on Sunday at noon, with the annual meeting to follow.
Saturday, June 8; 2:00 – 6:00 pm
A Silent Auction will be held, so bring a new or gently used item to donate for this fundraiser. Bidding will take place from 2:00 – 5:00. Hamburgers and hot dogs, with all the trimmings, will be served at 4:30 pm.
Sunday, June 9; 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Attend church service at 11:00, then join everyone in the dining hall for a covered dish luncheon. Bring a dish that serves 6 – 8 people. Andrew Boozer, Epworth’s Vice President for Development, will be serving Epworth Ice Cream.
After lunch, Rev. John Holler, President of Epworth, will give us an update from Epworth. We will be presenting Rev. Holler a check from the Cookout for Kids held in April. A memorial service will be held for those that have passed away since we last met.
The Silent Auction will continue on Sunday with items left from Saturday and new items brought in on Sunday. Any items not bid on will be donated to Epworth.
