As more than just a child-placing agency, we are a private program rooted in Epworth’s 125-year, faith-based commitment to delivering more for South Carolina’s most vulnerable children. We license dedicated individuals and married couples to foster and maintain regional offices across the state, ensuring comprehensive, on-the-ground support for our foster families. Our promise to recruit loving, nurturing families is strengthened by deep connections within Methodist congregations and other community networks, allowing us to provide the highest level of care and compassion.

Become a Foster Parent
Prayerfully considering how you might offer a warm bed to a child for the night? Want to provide dinner and a listening ear to a teen searching for that one caring adult? Made up your mind to open your heart and home to a sibling group so they can stay together?
Our Foster Care Team guides interested individuals at every step — from initial questions during licensing until the child’s permanent plan is achieved. A skilled Epworth Care Coordinator serves as your right hand, connecting you to direct services, providing critical coaching and serving as your DSS liaison. In addition, our evidence-based training model, support services and 24/7 access to Epworth team members ensure you have what you need, when you need it.
