JOB SUMMARY: Epworth Children’s Home is currently seeking an individual who will perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on Epworth buildings, grounds, mechanical equipment, and utility systems. This individual will retrieve work orders and document completion. The individual will also maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures. The incumbent will perform outside custodial duties such as lawn care, snow removal, etc. as required. The individual will also assist with contractor supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration
Knowledge of simple electrical systems
Knowledge of basic plumbing
Knowledge of basic computer and Ethernet installation
Ability to determine and prioritize tasks
REQUIRED SKILLS: Valid SC Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Ability to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation of after-hours and weekends. Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, FBI and Sex Offenders Registry. Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
